Zami

Hi Reyna, I sent a bunch of pictures of Zami for you. I had so many, but I decided to send only 6. :-) I decided to change jobs, but the only one I wanted to work for was the national corporate center of PETCO. One of my clients was relocating to the San Diego area for PETCO and had said that pets could be brought to work. So, I applied and got a job working on contracts for the corporate headquarters. I bring Zami almost every day to work. In the morning she can't wait to go with me. She has a little car seat, which not only keeps her safe, but allows her to look out while I'm driving. She is so excited to get to work. We have a routine-after I put my stuff at my desk we have to visit her love, Penelope, a sweet guinea pig whole loves dogs and responds to Zami. After giving Penelope a carrot or piece of broccoli, we go back to my desk and start our day. My cubicle has 3 beds for Zami so she can choose where to sleep or rest. I have a ton of toys and chew treats. One of the beds is on my desk, so sometimes she'll climb up there and go to sleep. At some point, she walks to me and stands up and licks me. I know then that she wants to see Penelope. So we see her and then I take her out for a walk. PETCO just put a new dog park just outside my building, so I take her there during breaks and lunch. She usually sees one of her dog friends (about half the employees bring their dog to work) and plays with them. She loves chasing and being chased. She's incredibly fast and agile. Of course we have to visit Penelope several more times throughout the day. She has two other guinea pig friends and a rabbit friend she likes to visit at least once each day, but she is so mezmerized with Penelope she can sit and watch her for a very long time (I included a picture). She gets a ton of attention from so many people there. She really enjoys people too. Pretty much a day of work for me means a day of fun for her. She's such a wonderful companion I just can't imagine anything without her. After work we go home. She cannot contain herself when my husband comes out to see her. Then she is just as excited to see our other 2 dogs and cat. On Sundays, my husband and I take her and one of our other dogs, Trixie, to Fiesta Island, which is a 5 mile off leash dog area which includes beach, open space and grass. She is like a little bullet. She runs and runs everywhere. She loves Trixie and keeps a close eye to make sure she sees her and us in the middle of running like crazy. Even after an hour of running around she's still ready to play when we get home. At home, when we go to sleep, she always crawls underneath the covers of our bed. Once the lights are off, she gets out of the covers and sleeps right in between my husband and I. We still visit my son just about every Saturday in Torrance and we always bring her. Everyone there loves seeing her and she loves seeing my son. She's so cute and her personality is so unique that she charms everyone. I bring her almost everywhere. I know I say it in every email, but I cannot believe how blessed we are to have her in our lives. My husband adores her like I've never seen him do with anyone. Completely smitten. I am so in love with her too. She is such a joy to watch and to be around. Almost a year and a half after adopting her, I can't believe how much our love grows for her. I really thank you so much for allowing her to be a part of our family.
